Marine Services
From project design to construction, Aquaparian provides a full range of environmental services for projects in the marine environment. Baseline assessments for proposed marine projects are carried out by our team of WCB certified divers lead by our senior marine biologist using underwater video to determine potential impacts, regulatory requirements and mitigation recommendations.
Depending on the needs of the project, our registered professional biologists can complete regulatory approval submissions, design marine habitat compensation plans such as rock reefs, install compensation habitat such as eelgrass beds, and carry out monitoring to document success.
Aquaparian has extensive experience in marine development projects including the planning and development of marinas, BC Ferries terminal improvements, sanitary outfall installations, private docks, shoreline restoration, boat ramps and breakwaters. These projects require an understanding of ecological sensitivites of marine and adjoining terrestrial environments, the regulatory approval process, mitigation, compensation and environmental protection measures during construction.
